Very nice layout and outside patio. Food is average at best and way overpriced. Very disappointed.

Good view but fairly mediocre for the price. A salad is $13 and add grouper to it is +$17 so $30 plus tax for a salad with grouper. The flatbreads were pretty good and the fries were excellent but the service wasn't anything that speedy.

Great service and decent food so if you are staying in the area, give it a try. The eggs Benedict with citrus hollandaise sauce was very good. I did love the chocolate mousse cake...really yummy. A little pricey for what you get though.

Enjoyed meal - 4+ out of 5 - but service was really lacking. Great location and view, table outside on labor day weekend was no problem and with exception of waitstaff, very good experience. spoke with chef on arrival and asked his recommendation & didnt want seafood. chicken breast scallopini, breaded with crushed potato "chips" over mushroom rissoto and roasted veggies was fantastic. moist and excellent flavor and rissoto was done perfectly seared scallops and fillet for companions were excellent as well, and tuna / shrimp apps were 4/5. decent wine list and prices not at all bad. still left with feeling poor / slow / inatentive waitstaff is holding this place down, too bad.

This is a hidden gem in Cape Coral. This review is for the bar outside (The Nauti Mermaid). Their happy hour includes cheaper drinks and $5 ten inch pizzas. I would definitely recommend coming here for happy hour and to catch a sunset, being that there's a great view. The service is awesome too. I'll be back to try one of their dinners inside the Marker 92 Restaurant.

Terrible terrible terrible ! We are staying at the hotel so I was excited to see such an amazing looking restaurant just down the lobby .. We ate here twice and both were terrible experiences .. First for breakfast I ordered the egg white with turkey and it was Tiny & full of cheese .. The Arugula that come In the side salad was withered with dark spots .. My husband had the grilled ham & eggs and said it was no big deal .. Not worth the price .. The breakfast At Denny's would have had more flavor ..my mom had the "pastry basket" they brought a tiny soggy cinnamon roll pastry & a pineapple pastry on a tiny side plate ..then I attempted to order the pomegranate and apple protein smoothie and they brought me a warm juice .. I asked if they could add ice and actually make it a smoothie consistency and they looked at me like I was crazy.. 25 to 30 min later after requesting my smoothie she said oh yeah ill go get it .. She came back with a completely iced smoothie .. NO flavoring .. Hello?? Don't they make piña coladas ?? It's the same concept !! Ok so we decided to go back for lunch because we have an infant and didn't want to get into the car and you know the rest of the story.. We went in for lunch and I ordered the app. Chicken quesadilla .. TERRIBLY!!!! Huge chunks of onion and no chicken .. The small bits of chicken were not real chicken they were those substitute chicken pieces .. Pure cheese and onions .. They were not crispy and gold they were white and soggy because of all the cheese .. My husband ordered the cheeseburger it was dry and overcooked .. Absolutely no flavor to the meat .. Sucks we hve to spend 5 days in a hotel that has a terrible resturNt :'(

We went for a nice New Years Eve dinner, and we got just that. I had a wonderful rib-eye. after dinner we sat outside by the bar, and had a wonderful experience here as well. I would recommend this restaurant and remarkable resort to anyone.

Nice atmosphere and menu, but the staff isn't very attentive as far as clearing your previous course and having silverware ready for you before they bring the next course , so your food just sits in front of you Typical overpriced resort food. ( which is fine if the service follows ) A little good service 101 is in order here

We tried Markers going in with mixed reviews from the net. We got to the host station and our worst thoughts were coming true. We waited for several minutes with the staff all greeting us but no host/hostess... Then when she came she "4 adults and a kid, right" ?!?!? I'm sorry Kid does not sit well when you are going to a waterfront restaurant with her grandparents.. Ok we sat. Suddenly the whole atmosphere changed. Our waitress whose name started with a D was absolutely amazing with a big personality and a lot of knowledge of the menu.... Phew! She was also from Chicago so that was a nice treat to hear her story and how she got to FL. Not knowing her first name is bothering me but the drinks were flowing . We all had fantastic food that was fresh and hot and VERY tasty. I would give 5 stars but the hostess really put a bad taste in our mouths. I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone... Don't listen to negative reviews we had braised pork, pan seared chicken, filet, and the signature salad. All different spectrum but all exceeded our expectations.

I have been here several times while visiting family. The staff is always attentive and friendly. Our server was very patient as we made our way through the menu and was so helpful in making recommendations. She didn't stop there though, when we waffled on our decisions, she accommodated us with providing multiple dishes etc. I love dining outdoors here as its right on the water and the boats make the backdrop even more beautiful. The interior is very cozy and crisp. The salmon alone gets 5 stars.

I've had breakfast and lunch (lunch twice). Classic Breakfast with eggs your way (I chose scrambled well), ; bacon, sausage or ham (ham); potato wedges; choice of toast (white or wheat) or English muffin... I asked for a bagel and they were happy to substitute. $14. A cup of hot tea $4 and cup of OJ $6, and quickly was at ~$25 for breakfast. It was good and staff was attentive, but not worth $25, but typical pricing for a resort. Lunch yesterday was penne pasta, with grilled chicken, broccoli and marinara sauce. Good but broccoli was over cooked, not al dente. Today had a grilled burger and fries $16. Better than fast food. Fries are battered and consequently a little greasy. Comes with lettuce, tomato, red onion (mayo too but I 86ed that). Have also had appetizers: humus with chips and carrot & celery sticks $9... Good and garlicky... Bacon cheeseburger sliders $9 (just two so beware if you have a big table)... And queso dip with chips and sour creme $13. Topped Flatbread $12 (pizza?) Margherita was also good. Nice if you want a snack and drink on the patio, or apps to get started. Lunch for 6 was over $200. Early December is relatively empty. They say their busiest from New Year's through April. Need more attentive service and either to step it up on the food or back down slightly on the prices.

3 stars for location/view and the bread. Warm bread with dipping oil was delish Food was just ok for the price. My friend and I had the chicken pasta. Sauce tasted from a frozen dinner I had before. For $18 I would like a marinara that tastes homemade. Wasn't crazy about the seasons used on chicken as it didn't mesh with the marinara pasta and broccoli were fine. Our other two guests had the baby back ribs. A small portion of rib meat. One was tender and juicy though had a nice piece of fat she could have done without and the other said his was dry but he had no fat dessert was good traditional key lime pie, lemon raspberry cheesecake and a generous crime brûlée with fruit topping Desserts priced out at $8-$10 typical for a resort place. Regular coffee $4. Yes $4 and it hit when lured but cooled quickly and no steamed froth or a happy barista Reading some of the others I will say we had very attentive servers and really nice atmosphere. Just feel quality of food could be better.

If you are worried about price this is not the place for you. The food is outstanding. Servers are pleasant. Marker 92 is beautiful and the views from the Nauti Mermaid are fantastic. The hotel is awesome too.

Downgraded to a one star. Took the boat over only to find the whole place closed including the attached Weston hotel for a few days due to a special interest group. That is fine but who shuts down the place completely.?Clearly outsiders were not welcome. Stay away from this place. Always some drama the times I have gone.

My wife and I were spending a week at the beautiful Westin Hotel, and not wanting to go out, decided to try the Nauti Mermaid Grill for a casual dinner. Unfortunately, that grill is all outdoor and it had been raining most of the afternoon, so the only dry table that was available was around the bar, which was crowded with a lot of loud drunks. So we opted to go inside instead to Marker 92. The Nauti Mermaid is not really separate from Marker 92--it is the outside area of that restaurant. We were seated immediately and Christopher came and took our drink order. Choices on tap were very limited so we opted for bottles of Blue Moon, our usual go-to. Served well in chilled glasses with orange slices as they should be. We were not that hungry, but my wife decided on the grilled salmon, served over wilted spinach and sweet potato cubes, and pronounced them all as delicious. I decided to match her sort of and went with the special of the day as explained by Christopher: grilled red snapper with two bacon-wrapped scallops, served over a grilled corn, garbanzo bean, tomato and pepper mixture that was very tasty. WARNING, WILL ROBINSON: Christopher did not state the price of the special, and although it was delicious (and a change from the usual fare I order--I decided to follow my wife's lead and eat healthy,) I went into sticker shock when the bill came--$36 for the red snapper! I do not eat fish a lot and am not a connoisseur--I can't tell one fish from another usually--and I had no idea that red snapper would be so expensive! So points off for no warning of cost from the server, and this was really not the kind of night we had planned--a lot more than we had planned to spend and a little more than casual as we had expected when we arrived. The food was good but not worth the expense. The dining room is beautiful and service otherwise was good.

It was just ok. I would give it a 2.5 if I could, but it doesn't warrant a 3. Not much of a liquor or beer selection. Ambiance...just ok. The breakfast was very solid (service was slow as noted by other Yelpers), but I didn't try any of the other food.

I've come here twice and both times had many options to choose from and left feeling great. I've come for two brunches now within two years and enjoyed them both. The service is fast and this time we had a group of 17 and they handled us well. Very accommodating and didn't leave us stranded. They had these scrambled eggs with cheese and something else that had me getting seconds. I'd go back.

One of the worst meals, no I should say 2 of the worst meals ever. Only two other people seated in the place and after 30 minutes our waiter walked by and I said ah it's been 30 min??? Someone showed up and put 2 meals down in front of us and the stir fried jumbo shrimp looked like a frozen dinner equally as mushy as salty. Then I looked at my salmon I ordered med rare that was brown and crispy and hard as a rock...sent it back...only to receive as well done a piece again just not browned just poached to death! Too bad it does have a beautiful location. Maybe enjoy a happy hour drink!

We went to Marker 92 to enjoy a breakfast before visiting Sanibel Island. The outdoor setting was really great and our waitress brought some coffee and juice pretty quickly. However, we had to wait for 45-50min to get our breakfast. The waitress argued that the restaurant was crowded and the kitchen was doing its best. Really weird, when you know that we were only 2 tables outside and 3 inside! At the end of the day, we spent $32.00 for a slow service, and a disappointing food. This restaurant is a shame for the hotel just aside (Marina Village Resort), they should think about it twice.

Slow service, sub-par food, high prices. The only reason I'm not giving it one star is because the location and the building are beautiful. A great place to come if you're 80 years old and have nothing better to do then to wait for death's sweet embrace. If that doesn't describe you, find another restaurant.

I really disagree with the bad reviews. We come regularly to this hotel and we eat here all the time. My kids like it and my wife really enjoy it. The market 92 salad with salmon is very GOOD. The staff is always nice and helpful even when ordering at the pool.

Unexpectedly good!!! After reading the negative reviews, we decided to skip it and go to the other restaurant at the marina, but that was closed (Thanksgiving!) so we had no choice - being guests at the Westin Cape Coral, unless you want to do a bit of driving (which we didn't), there was no other option (the Nauti Mermaid was also closed last night). We were greeted in a somewhat haphazard way - probably because they were just breaking down the Thanksgiving Buffet area and it did seem a little bit disorganized. However, once in the dining area, we thought how attractive and nicely designed the area was. It was way too cold to sit outside (typical Thanksgiving freeze) and were given a table by the window. Our server, Lee, explained to us that things were a little backed up in the kitchen, after a very hectic day, so it might take a little longer to get everything - which was fine by us. We were just glad he'd told us that - so often we've been left at a restaurant table, ignored, having to wait for service for ages with no explanation (I really hate that!) - so we said to Lee it was no problem, we were in no rush. Just glad of the communication. The beer selection is pretty sad - and the menu does seem fairly limited but we actually prefer that - I'd much rather have a limited menu of items that are well executed than a huge menu of food dishes that are average or below average - so we were actually pleased to see that the menu was somewhat small, but well laid out and it covered a wide variety of items, even though it was limited. Although I wasn't overly hungry, I dived into the WONDERFUL hot bread and cold butter (excellent - much better than most restaurants) - and we ordered the almond crusted grouper and a side order of market vegetables (my husband and I were going to share this). I requested that the coconut risotto cake be exchanged with chived mashed potatoes (Lee said no problem). He was so charming and helpful, that when he brought my husband's gin and tonic and apologized again for the delay, he also brought an appetizer of chilled shrimp with cocktail sauce - just to say thank you for our patience. It was such a nice touch! The shrimp were WONDERFUL I must say. When the grouper arrived - I have two negative comments to make. The portion of mashed potato was so small, I think it was literally a dessert spoon of the wonderful stuff - barely enough for a good mouthful each - but what we did have was very good. It also lacked a little sauce - so it was a tad on the dry side, but the sauce that was on the plate was superb. Having made these negative comments, I MUST give the restaurant kudos for bringing us a spare plate that was actually hot - most restaurants, even the most expensive ones, will bring you a spare plate that's just cold - it is a sign of a classy establishment that will heat all the plates so the food stays hot longer. It so rarely happens that I jump up and down when it does. The almond crusted grouper was outstanding! Truly superb - cooked to perfection, delicious - and the market veggies were also very nicely done. Lee brought us a few extra vegetables, which was appreciated (I wish I'd asked for some more mashed potato in retrospect, but oh well) - and when he came to clear our table, I think he smiled when he saw how spotlessly clean our plates were - there wasn't a drop or a crumb of anything left - we had SO enjoyed the dish!!! Lee was charming, helpful, efficient - apologetic that the kitchen was backed up a little - but we understand - Thanksgiving can run the kitchen ragged, and most of the staff had been on duty for more than 12 hours - so we understood completely and really REALLY appreciated that he explained it and had given us these little extras. We absolutely LOVED our experience there - it exceeded our expectations - the grouper was outstanding - service was excellent too, although the food did take a while to come out - but we had a wonderful, wonderful time. I would definitely dine here again if I was in the area. The restaurant itself is very nicely designed, on a warm night it would be magic sitting outside - just be aware that the menu is not vast, but I imagine every dish is superbly executed. Lee - thank you - and we will be back!

They weren't able to accommodate our table of four for 45 minutes because they were short staffed, but there were numerous open tables and we sat at the bar and ordered without any problem. Food was ok, overpriced for what it was - especially with better places nearby (particularly the sushi).

I was staying at the hotel for an extended period of time. I ate at this restaurant numerous times because it was convenient. The food is USUALLY ok, but not always. There is NO CONSISTENCY from night to night...... The portions, the flavor, the spices, everything would change on a regular basis. I spoke with managers a few times and they always apologized, but never offered to comp a meal, buy a dessert or drink or nothing. Just said they are going though changes....Service was not really that great. You have to remember you are in a tropical location and they are lax. I agree with someone who made a comment on drinks...It was hard to get your water glass refilled. The wait staff did not find this as part of their duties. But finding someone who could fill it was difficult..... The outdoor patio is nice and it is a nice atmosphere. The kitchen is slow so don't go if you are in a rush.....Average if best.

We love this place! It's a great spot to meet friends. The food indoors and outdoors is great. We prefer the 'Nauti Mermaid', which is the outdoor bar. There is a live band many nights and the service is good. Service is lacking a bit, but the food and atmosphere makes up for that. Not enough classier places in the Cape, so I really enjoy it here.

Brunch on sundays is pretty good. Nice selection of breakfast and lunch items. Waffles omelets and beef stations are very nice. Reservations are never right for us. Servers should probably check drinks. We have had to ask every time I'm there. The dinner is generally good. I'd order the specials. This place has very delicious seafood if that's what you are looking for, but again, don't expect amazing service.

Clean, some ok dishes and some amazing, especially maple butter gnocci and the tomato soup with Greek yogurt...literally magnificent, and I have tried tomato soups in over 31 states and about 13 countries. 2nd best tomato soup ever. Decent bread for Florida, too. Nice views, from some seats, though the windows have decorative bars eye-level and the outdoor bar and ballstrades really block most of the water. Service..wow. Tthough while some of the waiters are excellent (especially dinner service), breakfast is served by kids and lunch had a partucularly annoying woman who belonged in trailer park diner as she "saw what she could do" when we asked for gread and then told us, twice, to give her a good review on tripadvisor so she could get points. I didn't know getting bread at an upscale restaurant was a f-ing favor, and I wasn't aware that I worked for the wait staff. And, as should be expected at a hotl restaurant, super-overpriced.

Setting is perfect, outdoor & indoor bar, on the water, overlooking the marina. Food was poor. I had better stuffed flounder at the diner. Ceaser salad was missing Ceaser. Ribs were good. They offered a buffet that none of the employees bothered to mention, as a result we missed out on that. Overall not impressed at all by the food. This resturaunt is in a breathtaking new resort with hotel, condos, homes, marina, etc. Too bad this resturant ain't got it furgured out.

I had Thanksgiving dinner at Marker 92, and it was a great meal and the service was outstanding. This is not about that meal, but rather an experience my wife and her friend had there on a Thursday night. Thursday is Ladies night at the Nauti Mermaid. My wife and one of her co-workers went there not just for drinks, but a full dinner with appetizers as well. It started with a reservation booked for 5:30 pm, they were asked if they wanted to sit inside or outside when making the reservation, being Florida in March, outside was the obvious choice. When they arrived the hostess told them she didn't have any outside tables. They explained that they had made a reservation to dine outside. They were once again told that there were no tables available outside and "needed" to sit inside. They asked the frustrated hostess how long it would be for a table outside and were told it would be a little while. They said "we will wait at the outside bar". On the way to the bar, 2 clean empty tables were spotted, one in a serving area of high traffic and the other nearby in a nice location. My wife went to the restroom to freshen up, having just left work. When she walked by the Hostess stand she was told her table was ready and to go to the bar and get her friend. Since the bar was outside, my wife pointed out that it would be crazy to go get her friend, bring her inside, only to go back outside for the table, and suggested the hostess meet them outside. The hostess huffed and said "whatever", but agreed to meet them outside. She tried to seat them at the high traffic table, but my wife being an experienced diner, asked if they could sit at the other table just a few feet away but in a less traffic area. The hostess rolled her eyes, looked at another employee (possibly a manager) who was nearby and said, "they don't want to sit here so I guess I will have to sit them there", she reluctantly agreed with a little more eye rolling. Not off to a great start. On to the food. As an appitizer the ladies ordered The Trio of Chilled Dips, Roasted Corn & Black Bean Salsa, Southern Green Tomato and Jalepono Relish, & Guacamole with Cool Lime Drizzle Served with Tri Colored Tortilla Chips. They both gave this high marks. One lady ordered the Chicken Alfredo, Herb Marinated Grilled Chicken Breast over Pappardelle Pasta with Sun Dried Tomatoes and finished with White Truffle Butter. This dish was also tasty, not to heavy on the Alfredo, but quite good. The other diner ordered the Capellini Pomodoro, Beefsteak Tomatoes, Caramelized Garlic, Sweet Basil and Parmesan Reggiano Cheese with and added Chicken breast for an additional price. The Chicken breast was very good, but the rest of the dish was flavorless and screamed for some sauce.

My first time there, I was brought in as a VIP. I got treated very well, the food was phenominal, the decor is fantastic, and I was so happy to finally see a classy resturant in Cape Coral. I called it the pride of Cape Coral. In all of my subsequent visits, (I always bring clients there since NO other restaurant in Cape Coral has any ambience at all!) the service is bad, the food is just ok, and getting more "pub-like" and overcooked and dry, and the waiters will talk back to you and get angry if you mention the slow service. I know they are capable of better! The atmosphere is great, and I love coming in by boat! The $5 sushi Tuesday, and $5 pizza's still draw me back. Please, as a plea to the managers there, care about the reputation of your restaurant, hire all new staff, and better chefs that understand about fresh ingredients! Cape Coral desperately needs the boost!!!

We had gone before and it was bad but thought we would try again. It was a mistake. Service not representative of pricing, son had Lobster Ravioli but no Lobster. Wife's Braised Beef was very tough, I had Blackened Scallops which were not too bad, sides cold. It is obvious they are struggling in service and food quality. Sad considering atmosphere is nice. Noticed the table next to us experienced same thing and at other table young person wanted Wood Fired Pizza as it was on top of menu and was told they only serve that outside. Did not make sense, then do not put it on menu anywhere and comes out of same kitchen. In this day in time restaurants need to remember a couple of things. Saying "no" to anything is not smart. Lastly, when charging upscale pricing, $25 a plate or higher, you had better deliver perfect food and great service. This restaurant consistently has not delivered either one.

This is the restaurant serving the new Resort at Marina Village that opened in November of '09. I went for lunch here with a business associate. Nice facility with that brand new resort feel. Still trying to find its legs. I had the personal "loaded" pizza that came out very good. Tasty, but not a world beater. Biz associate had the Marker 92 Hot Dog. All beef. Big. she said it was pretty good. It came with fries. Iced tea was acceptable. Eaah. I'll check back in a month or two. Can't say too much good, or too much bad.

We've been there numerous times but I must say it's more for the atmosphere than the food. I've eaten there a few times and each time I regretted it. I just do not think the Executive Chef has any real experience in gourmet dining and if he does his repertoire needs a lot of work. The food always seems very bland and never tastes as it should. It's not a bad place if you're going for a few drinks and you plan on hanging out at the inside bar or even outside at night time, but again, avoid ordering food. UPDATE 4/22/11: I just read that they are looking for a new Executive Chef and Sous Chef....Coincidence?

We were there again on a crowded night. There were at lease 20 empty tables, but no place for us.... everything was reserved. We came back and again only some tables inside available. The atmosphere is, unlike the classy interior, rather one that you could expect in a refectory: much noice from the kitchen and waiters. The food is of good quality and well prepared. Service is fast an friendly. Also recommended: the outside bar, called 'the Nauti Mermaid': a waterfront bar between natural mangroves and a lovely yacht harbour.

Went outside for lunch at "nauti mermaid" (not listed separately here?). Nice small menu for outside lunch, wish they had a bit more variety. great view and very friendly attentive service. GREAT waterside view. Think you are paying a little more for view/white table service, but all first class. We had the grouper sandwiches, came well garnished, and sweet potatoe fries to die for. Inside dining room looked spotless (new). Seemed like a great happy-hour place to relax.

nice place to have dinner and enjoy the patio view. skip the sushi rolls. they are sloppy and fall apart. our waitress was wonderful. gave us the lowdown on all of the seafood on the menu and was happy to answer all of our questions. very attentive even for a busy Saturday evening. my daughter had the kids spaghetti and meatballs. great sauce perfectly tart and not sweet. my greek fish was lovely. only 4 stars as i wish they would have more local sustainable seafood on the menu. hubby had the stone crabs. they were yummy.

We opted to sit outdoors as the A/C was far too chilly and the weather was perfect. The wait staff was attentive, the wine list was just ok (they were out of their one pinot noir by the glass selection), the ahi slightly fishy, and the food a tad salty. I'm still giving 4 stars because the seasoning and overall flavors of our blackened mahi mahi and grilled scallop skewers were delicious, the wine we ended up with (a lightly-oaked Chardonnay) was perfectly fine, and we didn't pick the restaurant for their sushi.

Good looking place. Great outdoor setting. Menu's a bit limited and resort priced but everything we tried was decent. For the opulence of the Marina and Hotel, I would expect a bit more creativity in the fare and beverage selections. Still, good spot to visit especially by boat.

We went for a nice New Years Eve dinner, and we got just that. I had a wonderful rib-eye. after dinner we sat outside by the bar, and had a wonderful experience here as well. I would recommend this restaurant and remarkable resort to anyone.

UPDATE 4/22/11: I just read that they are looking for a new Executive Chef and Sous Chef....Coincidence?

nice place to have dinner and enjoy the patio view. skip the sushi rolls. they are sloppy and fall apart. our waitress was wonderful. gave us the lowdown on all of the seafood on the menu and was happy to answer all of our questions. very attentive even for a busy Saturday evening. my daughter had the kids spaghetti and meatballs. great sauce perfectly tart and not sweet. my greek fish was lovely. only 4 stars as i wish they would have more local sustainable seafood on the menu. hubby had the stone crabs. they were yummy.

Great service and decent food so if you are staying in the area, give it a try. The eggs Benedict with citrus hollandaise sauce was very good. I did love the chocolate mousse cake...really yummy. A little pricey for what you get though.

Downgraded to a one star. Took the boat over only to find the whole place closed including the attached Weston hotel for a few days due to a special interest group. That is fine but who shuts down the place completely.?Clearly outsiders were not welcome. Stay away from this place. Always some drama the times I have gone.

Good view but fairly mediocre for the price. A salad is $13 and add grouper to it is +$17 so $30 plus tax for a salad with grouper. The flatbreads were pretty good and the fries were excellent but the service wasn't anything that speedy.

Good looking place. Great outdoor setting. Menu's a bit limited and resort priced but everything we tried was decent. For the opulence of the Marina and Hotel, I would expect a bit more creativity in the fare and beverage selections. Still, good spot to visit especially by boat.
